2019 MVC U12 Festival March 3rd.
Clubs Invited All MVC Clubs and their U12 athletes. Competitors and coaches must hold current USSS and VARA memberships.
Format The day will consist of two tall gate SL races. During both races, the courses will be set side-byside and run simultaneously, but timed independently. Each competitor will run both courses. Both races will have combinations within the U12 course setting guidelines. Each course will be set with red and blue gates for both races.
Registration Cost is $40 per athlete – all athletes will receive a bib for the day, which must be returned at the end of the day - $100 fee for a lost bib. All athletes must pre-register via adminskiracing.com at https://adminskiracing.com/node/187972. Bib and lift ticket pick up will be in the Okemo Competition Center from 7:30 – 8:30 am. Coaches will sign in at registration for a lift ticket.
Running Order Running order will be by random draw. All girls will run first and then boys in both races. For the second race, running order will be reverse bib order. For the athletes’ second runs in each race, running order will be in the same order as the first run due to the dual format. For both races even numbered bibs will start on the skier’s right course and odd numbered bibs will start on the skier’s left course. Athletes will run the opposite course for their second runs.
Awards Awards will be given to the top 10 boys and top ten girls for each race. Ranks will be based on combined times within each race. The “Boot” team award will be given out based on the second race.
Parent Tickets Parent Tickets are available at the ticket window outside of the Clocktower Base Lodge for $50.
