MONTAGE MOUNTAIN U12 SLALOM

ELIGIBILITY
Open to Eastern/Northeastern PARA divisions only. No out-of-division racers permitted.
Per PARA rules, U10 racers may enter U12 races.
Eligible U10 clubs: Blue Mountain, Jack Frost/Big Boulder, Montage Mountain.
Montage Mountain Consent/Release must be completed online at registration.
REGISTRATION

- Closes: Friday, January 23, 2026 @ 11:59 PM
- Fee: $59.00
🚫 No on-site, day-before, or race-day registration (no exceptions).
LIFT TICKETS
- U12 Extended Lift Ticket: $39 (purchase online via Montage Mountain website)
- Retrieve pass at any kiosk using emailed QR code
- Reuse existing Montage RFID card if available; otherwise $5 new card fee
- RFID card required for lift access at all times
PARKING / STORAGE
- Free parking in main lot only (no lodge drop-off)
- Limited lodge storage—arrive race-ready and store items in vehicles
- Some clubs may use tents in the Midland area
VOLUNTEERS (REQUIRED)
Clean Course enforced – no walking or skiing spectators on course.
Gate Judges and course workers needed.
Visiting parents who volunteer by Wednesday, January 21, 2026 receive a complimentary lift ticket.
PARA Gate Judge Certification honored.

RACE DAY
- Coach-only bib pickup (Ski School Chalet porch)
- Racers receive bibs from coaches
SCHEDULE
First Run
- 7:30–8:00 AM – Officials course review / Coach bib pickup
- 8:15 AM – Team Captains Meeting (outside Main Lodge by Rentals)
- 8:30 AM – Iron Horse Lift opens (racers/coaches/officials only)
- 8:30 AM – Volunteers meet Head Gate Judge (Ski Patrol area)
- 8:40 AM – Inspection opens (top of Switch Trail)
- 9:15 AM – Inspection closes
- 9:25 AM – Forerunners
- 9:30 AM – Race begins
- Female U10/U12 → Male U10/U12
Second Run
- Inspection: 45 minutes after first run completion
- Forerunners: 45 minutes after inspection opens
- Race begins immediately following
AWARDS
- Top 3: Female & Male U10 and U12
- Awards time/location announced race day
COACHES
- Zoom Team Captains Meeting: Saturday, January 24, 2026 @ 8:00 PM
- Link emailed to registered coaches
- Coaches stage skiers’ left
- Viewing for parents/siblings from trail “Spike”
- U12 equipment control by protest only
