Eligibility & Membership
- Age Classes: U16, U18
- Membership Required:
- U16 & U18: US Ski & Snowboard Competitor License
- PARA Qualifier: Yes
- Eligibility Notes:
- All regions and divisional U18 racers are welcome
- U16 athletes must be on the qualified list
- The qualified list was created using last year’s results from the U14 and U16 PA State Championships
- To keep the race field to a manageable size, the ROC has decided to invite:
- Ten (10) male and ten (10) female athletes with a 2010 birth year, and
- Six (6) male and six (6) female athletes with a 2011 birth year.
- These athletes will be invited to participate in PA Cups 3, 4, and 5 at Blue Mountain. (If an athlete declines their invitation, the ROC will NOT backfill the position with the next eligible racer.)
- U16 Athletes not on the list will be refunded if registered

- 7:15 AM –Bib & Ticket Distribution to Coaches at Summit (SATURDAY ONLY- athletes will keep bibs from Saturday to Sunday)
- 8:10 – 8:45 AM – Course Inspection (Razors)
- 9:20 AM – Forerunners
- 9:30 AM – First Run Start
- Second Run: Begins 1.5 hours after the last competitor finishes Run 1
Equipment Rules
- Helmets:
- Required for all competitors and forerunners
- Must be designed for ski racing
- Must bear CE mark and meet recognized standards (CEH, DIN 1077, ASTM F2040, SNELL S98/RS98)
- FIS-compliant helmet required
- GS Equipment Requirements:
- Minimum radius: 17m (Men & Women)
- Max stand height: 50 mm
- Max boot height: 43 mm
- SL Equipment Requirements:
- SL skis required
- Minimum ski length: 130 cm (Men & Women)
- Max stand height: 50 mm
- Max boot height: 43 mm
- Prohibited:
- Helmet mounts
- Exposed braces
- Enforcement:
- Start Referee will check equipment
- Violations result in NPS until corrected (ACR 222.1)

Ski Area Rules & Venue Access
- Use Comet Quad at Valley Lodge area (near snow tubing)
- Stay on designated slow skiing trails
- Do NOT use Paradise Trail
- Use Challenge
- Lift bars must be down
- No walking anywhere on resort
- Race personnel exit skier’s right
- No coat carriers on competition slope
- No coach movement while racers are on course
- Venue access restricted to:
- Accredited coaches
- Athletes
- Officials
- Resort staff
- Race workers who have signed BMR liability release
- No parents or spectators allowed in the race venue
MAAPP & SafeSport Compliance
All U.S. Ski & Snowboard MAAPP and SafeSport Code policies will be enforced, including:
