Maryland Governor's Cup Race 2026 - Railey Realty and Railey Vacations

T-SHIRTS: To guarantee your shirt size, you must enter your size in the Google Form during registration. Shirt sizes are guaranteed only for registrations completed by February 25, 2026 (10 days prior to the race).

REGISTRATION:  Registration is available through www.adminskiracing.com. Registration closes Thursday (3/5/26) prior to race day at noon. Same day registration will not be available.  The field size is limited to 180 athletes including coaches. Registration fee = $75.  Skiers can race just one day, but will not qualify for overall awards/cups. Refunds will not be issued for one-day participants or athletes who do not withdraw prior to the close of registration. NOTE: ALL RACERS SHOULD HELP WITH COURSE MAINTENANCE AND TEAR DOWN WHENEVER POSSIBLE!

LIFT TICKETS: Lift tickets must be purchased through Wisp Resort.

BIBS: Bibs will be distributed race day morning with t-shirts inside the Main Lodge at Wisp at 8 AM. No bib deposit is required. Athletes must return their bibs at the completion of their last run. In the event a bib is not returned, DCWST will charge the athlete a fee of $100. Please contact [email protected] to arrange delivery of unreturned bibs. Start order for first run will be all female snowboarders (randomized), male snowboarders (randomized)  female skiers (u8 to u18, masters + coaches mixed and randomized), and then male skiers (u8 to u18, masters categories + coaches mixed and randomized). Second run will start with snowboarders (reverse order), flip 30 females then flip 30 males.

AWARDS:  An awards ceremony will be held approximately one hour after teardown in the main lodge, with all awards distributed Sunday. Male and female athletes will be recognized for 1st through 3rd places in each age group. Results will be posted on Live Timing. Age groups: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, U30, U40, U50, U60 and 60 and over, and coaches (all groups have male and female categories). The overall Gov. Cup goes to the male and female who accumulate the maximum total number of World Cup Points from all 4 runs. The Junior Cup goes to the male and female under age 14 who accumulate the maximum total World Cup Points from all 4 runs. Note: if a skier under age 14 is the overall winner, they get both the Gov. Cup AND the Junior Cup. First tie breaker will be fastest time from 1st run on Saturday, second tie breaker would be fastest time from first run Sunday, third tie breaker would be the fastest time from second run on Saturday. SL race result is combined time for both SL runs. GS race is combined time for both GS runs. Overall/cup results (male, female and junior male/junior female) will be based on World Cup Points accumulated over all 4 runs. Top 5 finishers (M/F) in the ski race (by WC points) will also be recognized during awards.

Saturday Slalom 3/7/26:

8:00AM - Bib pick up @ main lodge

9:00AM - Course inspection opens

9:30AM - Course inspection closes

9:45AM - Start of first run

2nd Course Inspection - approx. 45 minutes after last racer of first run, inspection open for ~45 minutes

2nd Run Start - approximately 15 minutes after second run inspection closes

Sunday GS 3/8/26:

9:00AM - Course inspection opens

9:30AM - Course inspection closes

9:45AM - Start of first run

2nd Course Inspection - approx. 45 minutes after last racer of first run, inspection open for ~45 minutes

2nd Run Start - approximately 15 minutes after second run inspection closes

Awards presented approximately 1 hour after second run completion

REFUND POLICY: Refunds will not be issued for one-day participants or athletes who do not withdraw prior to the close of registration. Registration less any Adminskiracing processing fees will be refunded to all athletes who withdraw prior to the close of registration. The Race Administrator attempts to process refunds within a week of the race. Lift tickets purchased from Wisp Resort are not refundable by race organizers/DCWST.
