MONTAGE MOUNTAIN U12 SLALOM
JANUARY 26, 2025
WHO CAN REGISTER FOR THIS RACE: This U12 SL Race is open only to Eastern/Northeastern divisions of PARA, Pennsylvania Alpine Racing Association. No out-of-division racers are allowed. In division U10 racers can enter U12 races per PARA rules. Montage is in the Eastern division of PARA, so only U10 racers Blue Mountain, Jack Frost/Big Boulder, and Montage Mountain) are allowed to register for this event. Montage Mountain Consent/Release needs to be signed online at time of this registration.
HOW AND WHEN TO REGISTER: Registration is Online only at www.adminskiracing.com, starting Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 4 pm and ending Friday, January 24, 2025 (All day – ending 11:59 PM). Race Price: $55.00. There is NO On-site, Day Before, or Race Day Registration available (no exceptions).
HOW TO PURCHASE AND GET LIFT TICKET For those needing lift tickets, The extended Lift pass for any U12 age skiers at Montage is $39 and can be purchased online on the Montage Mountain Resorts website. Once purchased, a pass can be received at any resort kiosk with the received QR code. There are also various lift pass options on the website for skiers aged 12 and older. If you have a Montage RFID card from last year or other purchases please use it; otherwise, there is a $5 new card charge. Please be sure to enter your email correctly (double check!) and you will receive a QR code to use at any Kiosk at Montage Mountain to get an RFID card (or update your card). Racers need that card on them to get lift access (even in a skin suit).
PARKING: Free parking is available in the main parking lot only. Vehicles may not be driven down to the lodge area.
RACE READY/STORAGE: The Main Lodge is open; however, it has very limited storage. We suggest that you get Race-Ready and store personal items in personal vehicles. In the past, some clubs have rented tents in the Midland area for team storage.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR RACE TO HAPPEN: MMST is supporting "Clean Course" - No walking or skiing spectators will be allowed at the Montage Mountain U12 SL Race. MMST is a small club. If you want to be close to the action - Please sign up as a Gate Judge. We will need race day volunteers. Visiting parents who volunteer as Gate Judges/workers will receive a complimentary lift ticket when signed up by Wednesday, January 22, 2025 (all day). RACE DAY: Race Day Check-in and Bib Pick-up are to be picked up by one designated Coach per Team (in a prepared envelope on the porch at Ski School Chalet). Racers please see your coaches to retrieve your Race Bib.

8:30 – Iron Horse Lift Opens for Racers, Coaches, and Officials ONLY

8:40 – Inspection starts top of Switch Trail
9:15 - Inspection closed at Top of Race Course
9:25 - Forerunners

COACHES: A Zoom Team Captains Meeting will be on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 8:00 PM. Registered Coaches will be sent a link for the meeting by the email submitted. Coaches must stage only on the lift side (skiers left) of the course. Skiing parents/siblings can view the race from the adjacent slope "Spike". For non-scored technical races U12 equipment control will be dealt with only on a protest basis.
